There is a new home for Serbian Nutants! After more than a year of development, we’ve moved into our new Belgrade office, on 20th of December 2019. It’s located right inside the “Serbian Silicon Valley”, a wider area of New Belgrade which is now home to dozens of tech companies. We’re now using an entire floor of 1,550 square meters. Additional floor is now in the works for a total area of 3,500 square meters (38,000 square feet), enough for several hundred employees.

Cozy, eco-friendly interior design
Our top priority was making our new Belgrade office user-centric; it’s the same principle we apply when designing products for our customers. The office has all the bells and whistles of contemporary smart offices (Adjustable standing desks? Check!), and is very “Instagrammable” in terms of aesthetics and visual design.
The workspace has a cozy, home feel to it (so much that some people asked if they could wear slippers!) There are numerous meeting rooms, phone booths, 3 kitchens, gaming area, even shower cabins. There’s also a place for kids, since a number of our employees are parents!
The building itself is eco-friendly and smart, with a special focus on using natural light, saving energy and recycling waste. We aimed for a perfect balance between focused work and relaxed inspiration.
Strengthening relationships between Serbian Government and Nutanix
On this same day, the Government of Serbia and Nutanix signed the Memorandum of Understanding. This document is outlining plans for the future projects, such as using cloud technologies in schools and government institutions and collaborating around the data center in the city of Kragujevac, some 70 miles south of Belgrade. This document continues the Nutanix’s practice of driving digital transformation for governments all over the world.
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, addressed the audience. The part that got the most cheers included the paraphrase of JFK’s Berlin speech; in this case, she said: “I am a Nutant”. Nutanix executives supporting the event included Rajiv Mirani, CTO of Nutanix, and Nikola Božinović, founder and CEO of Frame, and GM of Desktop Services at Nutanix. Nutanix founder and CEO, Dheeraj Pandey, dialed in from San Jose, and we also heard from various Nutanix teams from around the world.
